On April 12, 2016, Law Plus Plus officially became a Certified B Corporation, the first law firm in North Carolina to receive this certification.
What does B Corporation mean?
B Corporations are for-profit companies that believe in something greater than their profits. They are companies that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. There are over 1,700 B Corporations worldwide, all of whom are leaders in the idea that business can be used as a force for good. Law Plus Plus is no exception.
To us, the B Corporation Certification reinforces what we’ve been doing all along. We’re making the world a better place to live and work. This certification reinforces that we’re on the right track. More importantly, it inspires us to keep working harder to improve the legal system and the world.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make the legal system easier, enact positive change in our community, and continually improve how we operate and the effect we have on our clients’ lives and in our community.
Law++’s mission statement, combined with our values, are the foundation for everything we do.
B Corporations as Examples
We, as a B Corporation, know that we’re examples for the community. Consequently, we have become thought leaders in the community on how to use business as a force for good. What we strive to encourage is other businesses using volunteering as a mechanism to grow personally and professionally. As a result, we have many programs that reward businesses that volunteer. Furthermore, we’re always happy to turn business meetings into volunteering opportunities.
Finally, we encourage you to look at how your company can make the world a better place. Every good deed helps. Every good business benefits us all.
