Law Plus Plus to no Longer Honor Groupon Deals
Deals purchased after Sept 10, 2015 will not be honored
(DURHAM, N.C.) Sept 17, 2015 – Law Plus Plus, a small business general counsel and litigation firm based in Durham, N.C., regretfully announces that it shall no longer be honoring any Groupon deals purchased after September 10, 2015.
Law Plus Plus had attempted numerous times to get the deal taken down from the Groupon site, but Groupon has failed to respond. The firm made the decision in June to no longer offer estate planning services through Groupon at the greatly reduced rate. The terms of the agreement with Groupon required that cancellation be in writing and only required one day notice. Law Plus Plus had offered several notices in writing with no response. Therefore, Law Plus Plus had to make the difficult decision to not honor any deals purchased through Groupon. Law Plus Plus will still provide credit towards other legal services if Groupon refuses to provide a full refund.
“We’ve tried to follow Groupon’s policies and cancel, but we haven’t been able to reach anyone over there,” said Bobholz, the managing attorney at Law Plus Plus. “We still want to be fair to those who have purchased a deal through Groupon, but we’re losing money on the deal as it is listed.”
Law Plus Plus had been running this deal for over a year now and has helped just over 20 clients get their legal estate planning documents in order.
